Conference Center in Yaoundé

Brunstad Christian Church (BCC) is from the seventies actively engaged in missionary work in Cameroon. Starting with a few contacts in the beginning there are now three churches, in Yaoundé, Bafoussam and Douala. The conference center in Yaoundé plays a central role for these churches and for the surrounding countries. At the annual multi-day conferences between 400 and 500 Christians come together - children, families, youth and the elderly. The approximately 220 members of the church in Yaoundé use the conference room for their weekly local meetings.

Unemployed youth of the local Christian communities in Cameroon have received professional training and have been deployed in the construction of the Yaoundé Conference Centre

Conference hall with facilities

For years they used hired halls. The Church in Cameroon had an urgent need for a private conference center. Concrete plans for the construction of a conference hall with associated facilities for about 450 people were on the table in 2011. In 2012 followed the go-ahead for the construction and at the end of 2013 there was the opening of the conference center at Yaoundé.

Participation of HMC

The capital provided by HMC was used for the inventory of the visitor accommodation. In addition, a filter was purchased to supply water in case the local water supply should malfunction.
